The Branch of the Technical University– Sofia Branch Plovdiv is a well-established higher education institution with a 40-year history and a leading role in the field of engineering and technology in Southern Bulgaria.

As an authoritative and representative academic structure of the Technical University– Sofia, the Branch successfully combines traditions, quality of education and an innovative approach to engineering education.

The Branch educates over 2,000 students in the three educational and qualification degrees– Bachelor, Master and Doctor. To date, over 12,000 engineers have graduated, successfully realizing themselves in various industrial and scientific fields in Bulgaria and abroad.

Today, the Branch offers 13 Bachelor and 12 Master programs, in line with the modern equirements of the industry and technological development. The University has a modern material base, modern laboratories, a library and conditions for an active academic and research life.

Since 2018, the Branch has operated a Competence Center for Intelligent Mechatronic and Energy-Saving Systems, which establishes the university as a significant scientific, research and innovation center in the region.
