Detailed information about the presentations of our guests and partners
TOPIC: Microbial contamination of central air handling systems in residential buildings
Speaker: Prof. Ing. Tomáš Vítěz, PhD., Masaryk University Czech Republic
The project focuses on microbial contamination of central air handling systems in residential buildings, which can significantly affect the quality of the indoor environment. Using molecular biological analyses, we monitor the occurrence of microorganisms that are potentially hazardous to humans and provide a basis for the future design of an effective monitoring and maintenance system.
TOPIC: The importance of sealed ducts
Speaker: Ing. Daniel Adamovský, PhD., ČVUT UCEEB
Leakage from ventilation ducts causes significant energy losses during operation and damages the indoor environment. For this reason, sealing ventilation ducts in existing systems is of high importance. At our research centre, we have experimentally tested the impact of the Aeroseal system on duct airtightness in collaboration with Alkion services. In this presentation, we will share the conclusions drawn from real data and the calculated energy savings.
TOPIC: HVAC Cleaning Impact on Energy Efficiency: Multi-Climate Analysis and Results
Speaker(s): Andrea Casa (CEO of Alisea e Remotair) and Gabriele Riva (Technical Engineer)
Brief Introduction: This presentation will examine the direct correlation between HVAC system cleaning and energy performance across different climate zones. We will present comprehensive data analysis showing how regular maintenance and cleaning protocols impact energy consumption, airflow efficiency, and overall system performance. The study covers multi-climate evaluation results, providing practical insights for HVAC professionals on optimizing energy savings through systematic cleaning approaches. Key findings will demonstrate quantifiable benefits and cost-effectiveness of implementing structured cleaning programs.
