Over 50 industry professionals, two days packed with expert presentations, new technologies, international guests and a very special reunion with EVHA's founders.

Add a boat trip on Lake Garda, a fantastic 30th anniversary celebration and plenty of unforgettable moments – and you have EVHA AGM 2026 in Bardolino!

Wednesday: Presentations and Technology

Ventilation hygiene experts from across Europe gathered at the Aqualux Hotel in Bardolino. The afternoon program kicked off with presentations on EVHA Marketing, Sketch2Plan and PPE & Technician Safety – from digital tools to practical safety challenges in the field.

Next came the Vendor Presentations and EVHA Vendor Exhibition, featuring:

• Teinnova – technology for professional kitchen extract cleaning.

• Remotair – smart HVAC hygiene monitoring solutions.

• Wöhler – inspection cameras, measuring instruments and cleaning equipment.

• RZ-Clean-Seal – an innovative approach to reducing grease build-up in kitchen extract systems.

• Igienair – ZAACK Dust, a smart solution for measuring dust levels in ventilation systems.

• Dry Ice Finland – the Dry Ice Crawler 1.0, a robotic solution for duct and grease extract cleaning.

A chance to explore new technologies up close, ask technical questions and see practical solutions in action.

Thursday: 30 Years of EVHA – and What's Next

Thursday morning began with the official EVHA General Meeting. President Seppe Thys, Treasurer George Friend and CEO Marcela Nacházelová presented the association’s activities, financial results, plans for 2027 and an insight into the work of the EVHA Office.

EVHA Secretary Jakub Kmínek also gave a practical demonstration of the EVHT(A) online recertification process, showing participants how it works.

Three Founders. Thirty Years of EVHA.

We were delighted to welcome three of EVHA’s founders: Brian Hargreaves (UK), Oscar Rodríguez (Spain) and Roger Malmström (Sweden).

In an interview hosted by Lauris Krüza, they shared memories of EVHA’s 30-year journey.

From University Research to Industry Standards

After the General Meeting, the program continued with a series of expert presentations:

• Daniel Adamovský – a university perspective from the UCEEB Czech Republic, connecting academic knowledge and research with ventilation hygiene.

• Clint Orr (NADCA, USA) – insights from the American ventilation hygiene industry and NADCA's activities.

• George Friend and Kimmo Haapalainen – presentation of the new EVHA Guidelines, an important development for professional practice and standards.

• Andrea Casa – an update on Italian legislation covering cleaning and fire safety, bringing the discussion directly to regulatory requirements and practical implications for the industry.

Four different perspectives – research, international experience, technical guidance and legislation – brought the professional program to a close.
